As you probably already know, this site is a fanlisting for Heathcliff, one of the most tormented spirit ever made, with many faced character.

From the beginning of the novel (and probably from his born), Heathcliff is a character that has suffered pain and rejection without having done anything to deserve it. When Mr. Earnshaw brought home the dark-haired 'gypsy', he is viewed as a thing rather than a baby, and following the Mr.Earnshaw's death Heathcliff is deprived of love and education, reduced to the status of a servant and separated from the only one he loves: Catherine. The adult Heathcliff, who returns to Wuthering Heights after a three year absence, has develops a personality formed in deprivation of his childhood: is a passionate and sadistic man driven by revenge, emotionally unstable, distorted by the sense of the wrongs done to him and characterised by an incapacity to love and excessive/egoistic passion.
